HSE Officer (UAE National)

We are looking to hire an HSE Officer (UAE National) for our organization to be based in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.

Requirements & Key Skills

  • Diploma in Science/Engineering
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Professional qualifications in HSE and Fire & Safety Management Systems from recognized institutions such as NEBOSH.
  • MS Office Proficiency ( MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)

Key responsibilities:

  • HSE Compliance
  • Co-ordinate in planning and management of safety-related activities
  •  Supervise safety adherence at the site while works are executed at the site.
  •  Attend client meetings on safety-related issues and act on meeting minutes.
  •  Plan and arrange all safety-related resources and equipment at the site to ensure safe work procedures.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations and maintain an excellent safety record
  • Conduct a safety inspection of sites, vehicles and handle incident/accident investigations.
  • Maintain incident/accident records, prepare incident/accident analysis reports, hospitalization reports and find solutions to reduce lost time.
  • Visit worksites and Workshops to identify the potential threats to our workforce deployed.
  •  Ensure that equipment and tools are in good working condition and are certified /calibrated as applicable.
  • Prepare required reports and maintain documentation
  • Generate awareness in health and safety among, operatives, drivers, helpers, and other employees to ensure applicable standards are maintained.
  • Educate employees in safety procedures through toolbox talks and regular safety meetings and training.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable local laws, regulations, and standards concerning health and safety including those relating to ISO and OHSAS specifications.
  • Administrative Support
  • Handle administration requirements as assigned to ensure its smooth functioning, employee HSE matters and provision of resources to run the department
  • Analysis and Reporting
  • Maintain all HSE records as instructed by the HSE manager
    • Site Inspection and Audit
    • Conduct relevant work-related training and awareness sessions for employees and line managers
    • Educate employees in safety procedures through toolbox talks and regular safety meetings and training.
    •  Ensure compliance with all applicable local laws, regulations and standards concerning health and safety including those relating to existing ISO specifications.
    • Other Responsibilities 
    • Other responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
